On June 16, 2021 at the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC)
The Design and Industry Solution Research Team, Engineering Design and Computation Research Group of MTEC and Boon Engineering Co., Ltd. had developed a remote-controlled delivery cart ‘Aree’ to support the medical personnel in delivering food or drugs to the COVID-19 patients. This machine will help reduce the chance of the spread of infection and the cost of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Dr. Kritsada Prapakorn, Deputy Executive Director of MTEC, Dr. Sarawut Lerspalungsanti, Research Team Leader, and Dr.Korkiat Sedchaicharn, Researcher of Design and Industry Solutions Research Team, Engineering Design and Computation Research Group of MTEC had delivered 10 sets of a remote-controlled delivery cart ‘Aree’ to the hospitals and planned to deliver 36 more sets within this month.
Recently, MTEC had delivered the ‘Aree’ machines to the following 4 hospitals, namely, Pranangklao Hospital, Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital, Taksin Hospital, and Bangpakong Hospital.
