Ms. Parnbua Boonparn, Managing Director of Matichon Group, the executives, and Dr. Julathep Kajornchaiyakul, Director of MTEC, had delivered the ‘PETE’ Patient Isolation and Transportation Chamber developed by MTEC researchers to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pharuhat Tor-udom, Director of Thammasat University Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchai Mingmalairak, Director of Thammasat Field Hospital, and Mr. Wittaya Pholuang, Head of Emergency Medical Services.
In this event, the Design and Industry Solutions Research Team, Engineering Design and Computation Research Group of MTEC and its Research Team Leader, Dr. Sarawut Lertpalangsanti, had demonstrated the use of the ‘PETE’ Patient Isolation and Transportation Chamber to the medical personnel of Thammasat University Hospital.
The delivery of the ‘PETE’ was part of an online health exhibition “Healthcare 2021 Thailand Vaccines” during August 18-22, 2021. Matichon Group and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) have donated ten ‘PETE’ units, with a total value of 2.5 million baht, to 5 hospitals, 2 units per hospital, namely the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Chulabhorn Hospital, Banphaeo General Hospital, Thammasat University Field Hospital, and the Golden Jubilee Medical Center, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. All these PETE units have been manufactured by SUPRERA INNOVATION Company Limited and the company will provide maintenance services for all users. Both Matichon Group and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM) believe that Thai innovations must be able to help Thai people in this times of crisis.
