The National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) (CEA), and Linköping University, Sweden had organized a workshop on “Designing Plastic Products in Circular Economy”. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation had supported the workshop through the project of “Creating bilateral cooperation on designing for the circular economy De4CE and the Mechanism of post-use Plastic Assessment.”
This workshop was held in June 2021 and aimed to educate the participants on the design and development of plastic products and packaging according to the principle of circular economy to increase the capability in developing environmentally friendly products, as well as to prepare for cooperation in the future.
The workshop was conducted by a team of experts led by Professor Mattias Lindahl from Linköping University, an internationally-recognized expert on Ecodesign & Product Service Systems. Other speakers were experts on design, plastic technology and materials for the environment of Thailand. There were more than 200 participants from the plastics industries and downstream industries, such as plastic recycling entrepreneurs, plastic resins and plastic products manufacturers, product designers, and consumers, as well as academics from various plastic-related industries.
