On August 20, 2021 at Khaosod Company Limited, Bangkok, Dr. Julathep Kajornchaiyakul, Executive Director of MTEC, Ms. Parnbua Boonparn, Managing Director of Matichon Public Co., Ltd, Mr. Alvin Gee, Deputy Managing Director Operation Support of Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), Dr. Sarawut Lerspalungsanti, Research Team Leader of Design and Industry Solutions Research Team, Engineering Design and Computation Research Group of MTEC, had delivered the ‘PETE’ Patient Isolation and Transportation Chamber to 5 major hospitals to cope with COVID-19. The PETE is an innovative medical device invented by Thai researchers and engineers and is one of the highlights in an online health exhibition “Healthcare 2021 Thailand Vaccines”.
Matichon Group and BEM has donated a total of 10 units of PETE to 5 major hospitals, namely, the Faculty of Medicine, Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, Chulabhorn Hospital, Banphaeo General Hospital, Thammasat University Field Hospital, and the Golden Jubilee Medical Center, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. Each hospital would get 2 units of PETE. All these PETE units have been manufactured by SUPRERA INNOVATION Company Limited and the company will provide maintaintance services for all the hospitals mentioned above.
