On October 6, 2021 at the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC).
Mrs. Kullaprapa Navanugraha, Vice President of NSTDA, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), together with Mr. Pornpipat Yoosa, Research Assistant of Design and Industry Solutions Research Team, Engineering Design and Computation Research Group of MTEC, had delivered the ‘PETE’ Patient Isolation and Transportation Chamber to Ms. Sirichat Somboonanek, Registered Nurse, and Mr. Thosapol Jinasorn, Registered Nurse of Srithep Hospital, Petchabun, in order to support the medical personnel against COVID-19.
Mrs. Kullaprapa Navanugraha said that NSTDA is one of the country’s research and development agencies. NSTDA has conducted research into the medical devices, test kits and application softwares to counteract the COVID-19 pandemic to support the medical personnel. A number of research outputs have been delivered to various hospitals and related agencies, such as the ‘PETE’, Safie Plus Mask, UVC Moving CoBot, NANO COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test, DDC Care Application (the application for monitoring people who are at high risk for COVID-19), and the AMED Telehealth to support Home Isolation and Community Isolation, as well as the establishment of Sirindhorn Science Field Hospital for the disabled. NSTDA appreciates the financial support from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) on the delivery of the ‘PETE’ to support the medical personnel during the COVID-19 crisis.
