On November 24, 2021 at Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital, Ubon Ratchathani, and Southern Thailand Science Park, Songkhla, the National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), and the Design and Industry Solutions Research Team, Engineering Design and Computation Research Group of MTEC together with the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) had delivered the ‘PETE’ Patient Isolation and Transportation Chamber to 3 hospitals in the South, namely, Yala hospital, Raman Hospital, and Betong Hospital to support the medical personnel against COVID-19. This event was presided over by Asst. Prof. Kamron Pitaks, Director of Southern Thailand Science Park, Prince of Songkla University. Also, on the same day, PETE had been delivered to Sunpasitthiprasong Hospital, Ubon Ratchathani.
MTEC had received a budget from NRCT for the production of PETE, while Suprera Innovation Co., Ltd. had joined the demonstration and would provide maintenance service for their users. This innovative medical devices will help support the medical personnel to cope with COVID-19 outbreak.
