Assoc. Prof. Dr. Toemsak Srikhirin, Director of the National Metal and Materials Technology Center, NSTDA, along with Dr. Chi-na Benyajati, Director of the Material Processing and Manufacturing Automation Research Group, Dr. Anchalee Manonukul, Team Leader of the Smart Alloys and Manufacturing Research Team, Dr. Piyapong Premvaranon, Team Leader of the Lightweight Engineering Research Team, and the research team welcomed Professor Shigeru Saito, President, and faculty members from the University of Toyama and the Aluminum Research Center, Japan. The visit aimed to discuss research collaboration, and the guests toured the Lightweight Engineering Research Team’s laboratory, the Aluminum Foam Laboratory, and the Metal Powder Injection Molding Laboratory. During the visit, they discussed collaborations, exchanged knowledge, and shared opinions on research studies in Aluminum Extrusion, advanced material forming techniques, and Aluminum Recycling. The discussions focused on aligning aluminum product research with Net Zero goals, laying the groundwork for future collaborative initiatives.
