A group of corrosion scientists and engineers from industries and academic & research institutes came together and brought about the idea of organizing the very first Thailand Corrosion Prevention and Control Conference (TCPC) in 2015. The conference was aimed to provide a comprehensive platform to gather and share information and knowledge on corrosion prevention technology among delegates with academic and industrial backgrounds. It was a successful mission that received good feedback to continue this series of conferences that is held bi-annually. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TCPC was postponed until now we are pleased to announce the occurrence of 4th International Thailand Corrosion and Prevention Control Conference.
Corrosion is one of the most underrated problems in the world of materials because processes are often very slow and microscopic, but when corrosion- induced failure occurs, it is catastrophic. Therefore, integrity and reliability of structures and components should be the top priority for any applications. The cost of corrosion can be both direct and indirect cost. Understanding corrosion prevention and mitigation can ensure material integrity and increase profitability.
The goal of this conference is to create a knowledge-experience sharing platform linking industrial sectors, academic institutes and research agencies in a corrosion technology field. It will focus on corrosion case studies and experience in the real field applications. It will help link collaborations between academic institutes and societies to sustain reliable infrastructures and components according to the conference theme: From research to applications: Technology Transfer.
Conference Topics:
Infrastructure Construction
Process Industry
Transport Industry and Related Applications
